RenaisNet

RenaisNet is a website network born from the vision of Renaissance ideals. The Renaissance was about renewal, bringing old ideas back to life, creating new ideas and putting both into action. The Renaissance Man was a jack of all trades - and usually the master of several. Author and life coach Margaret Lobenstine describes this personality trait in her book The Renaissance Soul: Life Design for People with Too Many Passions to Pick Just One. The wide variety of topics in this network fit the vision of the Renaissance Ideal - and we're not done yet.

The Renaissance Ideal was also about realizing the human potential (typically through the study of the liberal arts - grammar, rhetoric, moral philosophy, poetry and history). RenaisNet currently focuses heavily on politics, business, real estate, technology and books. In the months ahead, you'll see topics as diverse as gardening, home improvement, art, self-development and automobiles. Throughout, all the topics are united by the theme of realizing human potential. Many of the sites have a major «do-it-yourself» or «self-help» theme. Others are more directly related to the Renaissance theme of promoting enlightenment through the arts and sciences.

The major goal of this network is to contribute new ideas, reintroduce old ones and combine and synthesize something new from what's already there. RenaisNet won't be just another voice in the internet echo chamber. Some of the contributions will include:
